Westchester Elementary students are becoming effective communicators of Habits of Scholarship by prioritizing social and emotional learning equally with academic learning. When assessing student progress, Habits of Scholarship are measured through character targets separately from academic content in our report cards, student perception data after Student-Led Conferences, and in student work. Academic and character learning targets guide our work within the classroom and throughout Expeditions.
