Westchester students, kindergarten through third grade, take the NWEA Measurement of Academic Progress three times a year. This assessment allows us to formatively measure student progress throughout the year in reading and math in comparison to their national peers. The Georgia Milestones Assessment System is given to third graders at the end of the academic year. This assessment gives us the opportunity to summatively measure student progress in comparison to our state peers. Our students are excelling academically because they have opportunities to learn deeper about topics that are authentic and meaningful to them.
